About Samee Cosmetics

After 15 years experience and training as a professional makeup artist in the Chicago area, Renee decided to follow her life-long dream and develop a new custom cosmetic line. Today, Renee is the founder and president of Makeovers, Inc.

She has an extensive background in the makeup industry. Her initial experience included working for an elite cosmetic line and then an upscale Chicago salon. Then she found her true passion; freelance. It is a demanding profession that requires the ability to respond to changing situations and meet the demands of a variety of customers.

While she has done a great deal of work for print, runway, and television which includes performing makeovers for both the Oprah Winfrey and Jenny Jones shows, her great passion lies in beautiful elegant makeup application, making bridal parties a large part of her business.

She has continued to pursue her love for the makeup industry while balancing her personal life, raising 3 small children with her husband Jay. After 2+ years of research and dedication, she launched Samee Cosmetics in 2006. The name carries through her love for family using a combination of her name and her daughter Samantha’s name. Renee believes she has created a line that will be loved by professionals and consumers alike - making women SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!

Renee’s philosophy to applying makeup is, to achieve an enhanced version of your natural beauty. Let the true you show through. Whether you want to look simply sexy, natural, or be a total knock-out, your makeup should reveal your personality or at least how you are feeling for that day. Colors are important, but using the right make-up and style of application, should really be based on your personality and what you feel comfortable in. Just because you are a blonde, red-head, or brunette doesn’t mean you have to stick to one specific palette. Let your personality shine through.
